Going live
Your test store works the moment you sign up. To take real payments, verify your account once — it takes about 10 minutes, saves as you go, and is usually reviewed within 1–2 business days.
Where to start
In your dashboard, open Go live in the sidebar (or use the button in the Test Mode bar). The steps save automatically, so you can stop and come back any time. Once approved, your LIVE store is created and you can switch to Live Mode.
1. Choose your account type
The first question is how you sell. It decides which questions follow — you are only ever asked what applies to you.
| Business entity | Individual (solo) | |
|---|---|---|
| Who it's for | A registered company or sole proprietorship — Sh.P.K., B.I., partnership, NGO and similar. | You sell in your own name, without a registered business. |
| We ask for | Your details as the responsible person, the business’s legal name, legal form, registration (NUI) or fiscal number, registered address, and anyone owning 25% or more. | Your personal details, your ID document (type, number, issuing country, expiry), your personal number, place of birth, nationality, and whether you hold a public office. |
| Documents | Business registration certificate, proof of address, and ID for owners where needed. | A photo of your ID (front and back — just the photo page for a passport) and proof of address. |
| Steps | 6 — including Owners & directors. | 5 — there is no owners step: you are the owner. |
Registered as a B.I.?
You can change the account type while your application is a draft or has been sent back to you. Saving with the new type removes the answers that only applied to the old one (for example business numbers and owners); your personal details, product answers and uploaded documents are kept.
2. Your store name (individuals)
Individuals choose the name customers see: your full name, or a different store name such as a brand. It becomes the name of your LIVE store and appears on your customers' receipts. You can rename the store later under Store → Configure. Businesses sell under their registered legal name.
3. Customer support contact (everyone)
Every merchant gives a support email (required) and, optionally, a support phone. Unlike the rest of the application, these are public:
- They are printed on every receipt, so customers can reach you about their order.
- They appear in your storefront footer.
- The phone is shown only if you add one.
Use an inbox you check regularly — a shared address like support@yourstore.com works well. After you go live, change them any time under Store → Customize → Contact info.
Two different contacts
What your customers see
Saleonix is the merchant of record: your customers pay Vortarix LLC (trading as Saleonix), which handles payment, tax and receipts, and their receipt says so. Alongside it, the receipt names you:
| On the receipt | Business entity | Individual (solo) |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Your legal business name (and store name, if different) | Your store name — the one you chose |
| Support email / phone | Your support contact | Your support contact |
| Address | Your registered business address | Not shown |
| Registration / VAT number | Shown when you have one | Not shown |
| Personal ID numbers | Never shown | Never shown |
Who can see your information
- Everything except your support contact and store name is private to Saleonix and never shown to your customers.
- For individuals, your personal number and ID document number are stored encrypted and are accessible only to authorised Saleonix staff (compliance and accounting), for legal and regulatory obligations such as tax reporting and requests from authorities. They are not shown back in your dashboard either — when you edit your details, leave those fields blank to keep what is on file.
- Uploaded documents are stored privately and opened only by our compliance reviewers to verify your details.
See the Privacy Policy for retention periods and your rights.
Review and payouts
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Submitted | Locked while our compliance team reviews it — usually 1–2 business days. |
| More information needed | We tell you exactly what to add or upload. Update it and resubmit. |
| Approved | Your LIVE store is ready. Switch to Live Mode to take real payments. |
| Rejected | We explain why. You can correct the application and submit again. |
Documents and the payout bank account can be added after you submit. The bank account must be in the name of the business or person you registered, and is only needed before your first payout.
